Membership dues:  up $1k over last year, Space Age down $320
Merchandise income down
–>  Dave send membership reports to Leslie at same time as Eric
Expenses are up – permits more expensive
–> Dave check with Ric:  pull any $$ out of cash box?
all told – our net revenue is up $1300
–>  Active:  setup membership for 2014
Mile High Loop – met with Albus Brooks, city council.  Very excited and enthusiastic.  However…parks and rec rules say person needs to be dead for 7 years before naming.  Jeanne Robb helping as well.

Nov and Dec TS

Course for November – nice course, but big gravel north of the school.  Some 5k people got confused and didn’t quite follow the right path.  Problem with 5k and TS finishing at the same time, hard to score.  Others liked the location and view.  Would be tough if weather was bad.
Sunday race – Lisa ready, volunteers getting lined up.  May have a larger crowd because of presence in Competitor mag.  What if…we have 200?

Deb and Dave proposal – Shift in Race Distances?

Steph likes the long distances.  Don’t shift to 5k races.  Can’t find races to run at those distances
Janet and Leslie – not bothered by the distances or race finish being after people are gone –
Move the 5k to start later – ok, but problem is that Steph is using these people to staff the finish line, so that could be aproblem.
Lots of reaction against removing the long races – part of club
What if we just mvoe the 5k start time to a little later?  What if 5k series is handicapped?
Stop 0:00 starts –
Idea of surveying members – what would we ask them?
– what interests them about the club?  What would encourage sticking around?
– idea of a 5k series
– shifting 5k start times?
– what would help you stick around after a race?  or would you
– more $$ for food?  change allocation to $100
– better raffle – announce what it will be  beforehand
– who else could help with raffle ideas?
Banquet – Sunday 27th at Homestead
David – has ideas about jackets, but not quite done
Ken – nice awards from Crown
Ken will figure out what we should get – majority wanted the pint glass
Feb race – John Bullock and Rick Edrich
April race – confirmed for Saturday
