February 16!! Platte River Bar and Grill – Trophy Series 7M and 5k

Our February 7M and 5k races happen on SUNDAY February 16 at the Platte River Bar and Grill on S Santa Fe. This is a club favorite because we can stay warm inside before the race, run on a nice course, then come back to food and drink at PRBG. Nice!

Our course goes north on the South Platte Trail, then turns around and comes back on the opposite side of the river. It’s a nice fast course that’s well-marked and fast.

After the race we’ll have awards and some club-sponsored food and drink inside the bar. You can also get a beer and your lunch –great way to finish up the morning and thank our hosts at the Platte River.

Race Day Details

Date: Sunday February 16.
Time: 9am start. Show up at least an hour early to get your tag and warm up. Don’t make the volunteers wait for you – they want to run, too!
Course: race runs on the South Platte concrete bike paths.
Location: Platte River Bar and Grill in Littleton on Santa Fe south of Bowles.

Jan2020 Trophy Series – Results!

The 2020 Trophy Series kicked off on January 5 at Trailhead Park in Thornton. We had a good turnout on a cold morning, and lots of strong performances!

It was the Greg Show today – our top three TS runners were all named Greg! The Trophy Series 10k winner was Greg Asplund in first, followed by Greg Thomas and Greg Woskow! New member Theresa Tufaro was the fast female and Eric Greene our fast male.

The 5k was also busy and quick. Results here coming soon!

October 2019 Trophy Series – 8M and 5k at Sand Creek!

Hey, friends. October’s Trophy Series race ran on Sunday October 6 at a new location for RMRR. The race started at Beck Recreation Center in Aurora off of East 6th Ave on Telluride St. The course followed the Sand Creek trail north and west for 4 miles, then reversed and returned to the start. Easy smooth running with a nice new course !

Deb Cunningham and Eric Greene were the speedsters this time. For the Trophy Series, Howard Kumpf was our winner, with Rick Edrich and Maranke Koster close behind. Michael Blanchard won the racewalk division, and Richard Malcolm won the 5k.
