September 30, 2019 6pm

Attendees:  Michael Hopkins, Dave Cunningham, Greg Asplund, Deb Cunningham, David Kahn, Rick Edrich, David Rothenburger, Ang Hammel, Lisa Wilson, Leslie Thompson.   1.5 hrs.

Updates

  • Race Committee Updates
    • September Race Recap
      • Had some 5k and TS people show up at 7. Left instead of sticking around.  Should we
      • Can’t use course in 2020 because of construction. Start at Promenade?
      • Suggestion is to use Trailhead twice because it’s easy.
      • Race committee not opposed to looking for a new course, but has to be easy.
    • October Race
      • Beck Recreation Center. Google gets you there.
      • Eric has some help to set up the course on Saturday.
    • Quarterly Update
      • November – Not sure if Ric will be able to set up the course.
      • December – Lisa and Ang will be the RDs.
      • David Rothenburger will get with Janet Fairs to order a porta potty because the rec center opens at 8am.
    • MTS #3 Recap
      • People who ran it were appreciative.
      • Keep MTS next year.
      • How can we promote it better.
      • Running the USA – get our races on there.
    • Scoring Updates
      • October results were up two weeks after the race.
      • Ric’s sheet of the top 15. Dave Cunningham has asked for that to put on the website immediately after the race.
    • Volunteer Updates
      • Nominees: David Rothenburger for MTS and TS, Ed Gussie for working the water stop.
      • Who can give out the VOM gift cards? Cassi has not been able to attend.  Ang will make a list & coordinate w/ Michael Hopkins to hand out.
        • Sept – David Rotherburger
        • Aug – Sandra LaBlanc. She’ll be at the Nov race.
        • July – Heather from Right of Passage
        • June – Katie Wiegand

 

Existing Business

  • Financials – Better than we were doing last year. No questions.
  • Track
    • One more week left – this Wed.
    • Look at Lakewood HS (Roughly 8th and Kipling). They just got a new track.
      • Rick Edrich will reach out to Lakewood HS.
      • Dave C will contact Becca Hall.
    • Year End Awards Ideas – All
      • TS Awards: Custom socks with winner pictures on them for the trophies.
        • 5k – this is a raffle
        • Deb will investigate – Google: Socks w/ pictures.
      • Race Directors – Hoodies – Lisa & Ang find what they like to present at next mtg.
      • Volunteers
        • Silicone pint glasses – David Kahn will coordinate. Min order 72.
        • Order 72.
        • 30 of the Artic Sky for the volunteers. 42 of the Mountain Marble for raffle prizes or vol of month.
        • Lisa and David K work on the logo.
      • Anniversary T-Shirts
        • Still have 26 people who need to pick up shirts. 8 of those haven’t paid.
        • Deb would like to get reimbursed for those who don’t pick up and haven’t paid. If haven’t paid, sell the shirt to someone else.
        • Deb – email Travis to make sure he brings the shirts.
      • Website Help –
        • Dave C look at how easy it is to add results to Google sites.   
      • Next Meeting Location
        • Mark Hasseman talked about sharing an RFID chip timing system between RMRR and CMRA. Ang reports no progress on the chips w/ Masters. 
        • Leslie Thompson will talk to the Fort Collins about their chip solution.

New Business

  • Greg has renamed several races to make them more interesting. Board liked the idea and it’s free.
    • October: Octomiles
    • December: 5
    • Feb: Platte River Brr and Grill  (Feb 16, 2020).  We’re going to pay $100 to reserve 2021.

    • Michael Hopkins will take April
