Kerry Kuck’s “Run to Remember”: Finishes OK City Marathon in 4:39:26

Our fellow Road Runner Kerry Kuck recently finished his first marathon on April 27th, 2008 at the Oklahoma Memorial Marathon. The Oklahoman newspaper graciously granted us permission to use their photos of Kerry, and Janet Leonard gives us a report on the race.

RMRR runner Kerry Kuck and Achilles Track Club guide Matt Guidry posted a 4:39:26 time in the April 27th, 2008 8th annual OKC Memorial Marathon “Run to Remember”. It was 49 degrees at the 6:30am pre-dawn race start, with drizzle and 20-30 mph winds. The rain and clouds gradually lifted throughout the morning, to sun in the afternoon. It was Kerry’s first attempt at a full marathon. The field hosted over 1,970 marathoners, 4,354 half marathoners, 598 relay participants, as well as a Children’s walk. The race start was within a block of the Alfred P. Murrah Bldg / National Memorial site. It was extremely well run and professional, with over 5,000 volunteers supporting this 8th running of the event.
